2021 is coming to a close. We traditionally mark the transition to a new calendar year with reflection, reconciliation, respite, redemption, resolution... this year just feels different. I don't want to mark this year. I don't want to judge it or to label it. I don't want to create symbolism around it. I don't want to compile it into photos or words or memories. I just want to let it sit. I just want to let it be. I just want to rest in connection with the love I know, the strength I have witnessed, and the light I feel. I want every human reading this to know that you are part of the story. That this human experience is grand and full, and has rocked us to our core. I have some words of my own, below; and some quotes that do not define, but do resonate in this particular moment. 2021. Let it be.
